Sleeps 2 | 1 bedroom

Roundhouse

This unusual property was once a milling house, driven either by donkey power, or possibly a steam engine. Much of the large granite blocks used in its building have been left exposed, giving it great character. Richard Trevithick, inventor of the first steam locomotive, is reputed to have links with Trengove Farm.

The building is more hexagonal that ‘round’, half of which has been converted into an open plan living area comprising a well equipped kitchen diner and lounge, with enough seating for four. The attractive kitchen has traditional style wooden units and a granite worktop.

Leading from the living area is the bedroom with a king size bed and pine bedroom furniture. The en-suite bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, wc, wash basin and heated towel rail.

There is a choice of seating either outside The Roundhouse, or in the sunny field behind the properties where a footpath leads down to Portreath.

Parking is beside the property.
