No. To help us keep the cottages clean and comfortable for all guests, dogs are not allowed on the furniture.
Many local attractions and places of interest are dog-friendly, although some may have seasonal restrictions or specific rules. It’s always worth checking ahead before you visit.
The self-catering cottages at Trengove Farm are converted from former farm buildings. Although they are not built specifically for disabled access, nor have been assessed as such, The Gew, Burgess and The Roundhouse are all ground floor properties and may be suitable for those, for whom stairs are a problem.

Several local pubs and cafés in and around Portreath welcome dogs, some also have outdoor seating areas so you can dine outside with your four-legged friend.
Portreath and the surrounding area offer a great selection of cafés, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, with everything from relaxed seaside dining to traditional Cornish pubs all just a short drive away.
Most restaurants and cafes in Portreath are just one mile from Trengove Farm, so if you enjoy walking, you can easily head out on foot for something to eat or drink.
No. The number of guests staying must not exceed the maximum occupancy of your cottage and should only include those named on your booking confirmation.
We know pets are part of the family, so if you’d like to bring yours on holiday, please get in touch before booking. We’ll be happy to discuss the most suitable accommodation and make the necessary arrangements.
Pets are accepted at our discretion and are charged at £30 per week (or part-week). Please note that, unfortunately, pets are not permitted in Burgess Cottage.
Yes, you can request to change your booking up to 6 weeks before your arrival date, subject to availability. A £20 administration fee applies to all booking amendments, and any difference in price may also be payable depending on your new booking.

You can explore some of the local area on foot, or local bus services connect nearby towns and villages, while Redruth railway station is just a short taxi ride away. Although a car gives you the greatest flexibility for exploring Cornwall, it’s still possible to enjoy many local beaches and attractions using public transport.
Portreath, Godrevy, Gwithian Towans and Porthtowan Beach are all popular choices with surfers and are just a short drive from Trengove Farm. You’ll also find surf schools and board hire available at many of Cornwall’s beaches.
There are various takeaways in the nearby local area, including fish and chips, Chinese, Indian and Pizza, many of which will deliver to your cottage!
No. For the comfort and safety of all guests, dogs must not be left unattended in the cottages or anywhere on the site.
There is a strict no smoking policy on the premises.
Several beaches near Trengove Farm welcome dogs, although seasonal restrictions may apply at certain times of the year. Sections of Gwithian and Godrevy Beach offer year-round dog walking, or dogs welcome between 6pm and 9am. We recommend checking the latest local restrictions before visiting.
Your cottage is equipped with bed linen, one hand towel and bath towel per guest, and all the essentials you’ll need for a comfortable stay. We simply recommend bringing your personal toiletries, beach towels, food and drink, and anything else you’d like to make your holiday feel like home.
We have 2 x 22Kw untethered EV chargers available for you to use throughout your stay. Simply bring your charging lead and download the FUUSE app to your smartphone and you’re good to go. You’ll find full instructions on using the EV chargers in the guestbook inside your cottage.
Portreath Beach is just one mile away and takes around 3-4 minutes drive from Trengove Farm. It’s a great spot for surfing, coastal walks, family beach days or a bite to eat.

All of the beaches above have public car parks, however parking availability can be limited during the busy summer months, so arriving earlier in the day is recommended during peak season.
Yes, all of our holiday cottages include free parking. Depending on the cottage you choose, parking is either in a designated space beside the property, or just a short distance away in our on-site car park. Full parking details can be found on each individual cottage page.
Yes. Dogs are charged at £30 per week, or part week, and must be added to your booking before you arrive.
Yes, all of our cottages have complimentary Wi-Fi for guests to use during their stay.
There’s plenty to see and do near Trengove Farm. Whether enjoying our local beaches, exploring the South West Coast Path or visiting one of Cornwall’s famous attractions, you’ll find something for everyone within easy reach.
If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible in writing. Cancellations remain payable in full, but if we’re able to re-let your accommodation, we’ll refund 75% of the total booking cost. We recommend taking out holiday cancellation insurance for added peace of mind.

There are several supermarkets within a short drive of Trengove Farm, and many offer home delivery. If you need recommendations or directions, we’re happy to help.
Trengove Farm is set between the villages of Illogan and Portreath. Our peaceful location offers the best of both worlds – a relaxing rural setting with easy access to Cornwall’s coastline and top attractions.
Portreath Beach is a favourite with families thanks to its sandy shoreline and seasonal lifeguard service, it’s also a popular spot for surfing. Nearby beaches such as Gwithian and Perranporth are also great for family days by the sea.
In some circumstances, we may ask for a refundable security deposit. This is used to cover the cost of any damage to the accommodation during your stay and will be refunded if no deductions are required.
