JUST A SHORT DRIVE
The best of Cornwall on your doorstep

The Mineral Tramways
There are 37.5 miles of multi activity trails located near the farm, many of which closely follow the tramway and railway routes that were used to transport supplies and ore from the mines. Now, these trails offer a fabulous variety of walks, from countryside to coast. There are many to choose from so every fitness level and ability is catered to. The Portreath Branchline Trail even goes directly through the farm and links in with the Coast to Coast Trail, the Tehidy Trail and the Great Flat Lode Trail! If you don’t fancy walking, you can also take in the beauty of the trails by cycling!

North Cliffs
Boasting a spectacular and rugged coastline, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a must see! With several walks in this area to choose from, you can wander the coastline, breathing in the fresh Cornish air and soaking up the magnificent views. If you head towards Godrevy, you’re also very likely to see plenty of seals who like to relax on the coves peppered along the coastline that people cannot access.

Tehidy Woods
An enchanting woodland that is the largest in West Cornwall, Tehidy is a firm favourite with walkers, creatives, dog owners and families alike. The woods stretch out over 250 acres and there are 9 miles of lakes and woods just waiting to be explored! Tehidy Woods can be accessed by the footpath at the end of the Trengove Farm drive. If you'd prefer to drive, the car parks for Tehidy are free and can be found at North Cliffs, East Drive and South Drive. There is also a café serving up refreshing drinks and light bites and toilets located at South Drive.

Enys Gardens
Described as a haven of tranquillity, this estate has been owned by members of the Enys family since the 13th century. Steeped in history, the gardens are even mentioned in ancient texts! The gardens are now split into linked but distinct areas which guests are free to roam and enjoy at their own pace. During the year they host events, such as their popular Bluebell Festival at the start of May where the woodland in Parc Lye becomes carpeted with beautiful English bluebells! There is also a café onsite where you can refuel with a hot drink and a generous slice of cake.

St Ives
One of the most popular destinations in Cornwall, and for good reason, St Ives is a pretty seaside town with plenty to offer. Weave through the quaint cobbled streets where you’ll find a plethora of unique local shops, restaurants, bakeries, galleries including Tate St Ives, and much more! You will also find several golden beaches with sparkling turquoise waters, fabulous for kicking back and sunbathing with a good book. If relaxing with a book isn’t your cup of tea and you’re after a more energetic time, check out Porthmeor Beach which is popular with surfers and is home to an award-winning surf school!

Trelissick Gardens
An elegant house and garden that is set within an estate that boasts stunning breathtaking maritime views and an array of lovely woodland walks, Trelissick Gardens promises to be a delightful day out for young and old. Explore the diverse landscape with its carefully crafted gardens, 18th century house, as well as one of the largest second-hand bookshops within the National Trust. When you’ve finished roaming the grounds, you can stop into Crofters Café for a yummy light lunch or tasty cream tea!

National Maritime Museum
Nestled right by the sea in the colourful town of Falmouth, the museum aspires “to bring new and diverse perspectives to maritime issues and highlight their relevance to the present day”. Showcasing 15 galleries, a boatbuilding workshop, interaction exhibitions that change regularly as well as artwork, maps, charts and more, this popular attraction is sure to delight young and old. They host plenty of special events throughout the year, great for entertaining children during the school holidays! We spent a wonderful week in a beautiful and very clean cottage at Trengove Farm. Nice welcome gifts and flowers on the table underlined the homely atmosphere. The kitchen was very well equipped. Our dog loved the garden and large grassland.
We needed to change our booking at very short notice and Trengove Farm were very helpful and accommodating. Mowhay cottage was cosy and warm for a December break and even the little conservatory had underfloor heating. All the rooms were well furnished and spotlessly clean. The cottages are in a lovely rural setting and we will definitely stay here again.
We had a great time last year in the Roundhouse so this year we decided to try out the Trengove. It was absolutely huge for the two of us. The cottage was very well furnished and spotlessly clean and we particularly loved the stained glass windows. With the typical Cornish weather, we managed to enjoy the private sunny patio and also made use of the wood burner every night.
The location was perfect; isolated without being too isolated and close to the beach, shops and eateries. It’s also quite central to accessing every part of Cornwall. The welcome and support from the owners was exemplary. The accommodation was smart, comfortable and spacious. We witnessed upgrades over the years including a wonderful new lounge. I cannot fault this place at all and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Cornwall.
We had a super stay at The Gew for a week in mid June. The cottage and location are perfect for us - this was our second time here. One of our group had limited mobility but with a few tweaks here and there we had no issues. The owners are super friendly and helpful and Gully the spaniel is adorable. It’s a great location to explore the countryside, beaches and towns and to do as much or as little as you want.
Beautiful clean comfortable accommodation. Everything we required to cook was supplied. Very efficient heating and plenty of very hot water. Location was good for going out and about. Plenty of walks locally. Recommend Trebah Gardens and the National Trust gardens right next door. Both stunning and great maze in the NT garden. St Agnes and Perranporth lovely days out.
We had a really lovely 2 week stay in Mowhay Cottage. It was very comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. Trengove Farm is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside and was a great base for us to revisit a lot of our Cornish favourites. Thanks for the prosecco and fresh flowers, we hope to return again soon.
Stayed over Christmas. What a wonderful cottage - cosy, charming and perfectly equipped. The owners were there to welcome us and had left (delicious) homemade mince pies and a bottle of bubbles for our arrival. Would 100% recommend and will stay again.
We had a wonderful stay at Trengove, it was absolutely perfect apart from not being long enough! Immaculately clean, well equipped, great location, the outside areas were very well kept, a warm welcome from the owner and overall very accommodating. We had two properties so worked well for a large family gathering, especially the hot tub!
Such an amazing place with everything you could possibly want for a perfect stay, very clean and extremely well kept inside and the surrounding gardens. Perfect place to have a restful holiday. Very welcoming host and an especially friendly dog called Gully who visited every day. Would definitely recommend.
Our family and friends booked out three of the cottages for a week at Trengove Farm at the end of April. The cottages were all so homely and welcoming. The owners were so friendly and accommodating to us all and let us go about our week freely. The surrounding farm with the large open field was perfect for our dog.
My partner and I stayed at The Roundhouse and had an amazing week in Cornwall. The farm is lovely; so peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was very well kept, well equipped and homely. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The location seemed fairly central and close enough to the A30 meaning we could easily drive to the various places we visited around Cornwall with the longest journeys only being around an hour.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay in The Roundhouse. Lovely peaceful location but conveniently situated for exploring much of Cornwall. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and furnished and equipped to a high standard. Very friendly helpful hosts who are on site and very quickly sort out any issues that may arise. We would love to return and would definitely recommend.
My husband and I stayed at Trengrove cottage for a week. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location was great, walking distance from Portreath. We used the cottage as a base to recce stretches of the coastal path. We will definitely be back.
Thankyou for a lovely stay in Mowhay. A lovely comfortable cottage, in a perfect spot for visiting all the gorgeous areas around Portreath. Plenty of space for our spaniel to run around. We popped to Marazion most evenings to enjoy the views and eat at the Godolphin Hotel. Would definitely recommend Trengove and hope to return.
Trengrove Farm was the perfect location to explore the beautiful areas in Cornwall and we didn’t have to go far to enjoy both the beach and country walks. We stayed in The Roundhouse which was the perfect size for 2 and had everything we needed. There was also a lovely outdoor seating area.
